Epic day

Took a few friends up into the hills yesterday afternoon, and it turned out to be quite the adventure. Hiked up the McKenzie River Trail to see the Tamolitch Pool, where the McKenzie pops out of the ground after a 1.5 mile trip underneath a lava flow. L jumped into the icy cold water. I couldn't get much more than a toe in. Three bikers jumped off the cliff.

After that we drove up to the Dee Wright Observatory to take in the view. Fantastic as always. It turns out everyone in the car had been there before, but L hasn't seen it since our honeymoon and wanted to go.

We ended the day with a mini-hike into Proxy Falls, which are pretty dang amazing.

We were in bed by 9:30. Too much sun and too much fun!
