Ecoregions GIS in South America

This looks like such a nice project. One has to wonder when (or if: I haven't looked very hard) the Nature Convservancy is going to put the GIS data online, or if they're going to stick with the textual reports.

Whiny complainers.

Real updates? You're asking me for real updates?!? Get off my back!

Although I will tell you that I went fishing yesterday for opening weekend. That's a good start to the year. Hopefully I use my license a bit more this time around. It was a fantastically beautiful spot.

There was also additional bush trimming.

Finally, if you just can't get enough of my delightful prose, you can look at my research notes over yonder. It's rough, and I haven't even customized the interface yet, but hey: it's a start.

Well trimmed bush

Borrowed the neighbor's ladder today and took care of the two privets. I think I'll bring them down even lower tomorrow. L is going to town on her side bed, which is currently full of orange flowers whose name that neither of us knows. The vine on the side porch is popping right now (it's definitely not a clematis, but we can't remember what it is). In general, it's all looking good.

Second year junior

That's how a student described himself in a recent introduction. I've heard '5th year senior', but second year junior is new to me. Does that mean someone who is in his second year on campus but already has junior status? Or is it someone on campus for his fourth year, but he's still a junior?
